Whitehaven continued their 100% record in the Northern Rail Cup with Sunday's hard-fought 26-18 win over local rivals Workington Town at Derwent Park. But it was a far cry from the 48-0 win Haven enjoyed when the sides last met for a 'friendly' back in late December.
Town made their higher-league opponents work for the win but Whitehaven were just too strong running in five tries.
Scrum-half Martin Keavney made an impressive return for the hosts, scoring one of Workington's two tries.
