By Phil Harlow

2010: The Fratellis' 'Chelsea Dagger' plays over the tannoy as Jamie Peacock and Adrian Morley lift the trophy, and the champagne gets sprayed around. Happy days for the Lions boys.

2009: "Tony Smith has done wonders with this GB team. Looking forward to how he takes them forward, as England, in the World Cup next year!"
Mistah_Lee on 606

2007: Jamie Peacock is about to do something that not many Lions captains have had to do in the last few years, and that's collect the trophy for winning the series.

The officials go up to get their momentos for their part in proceedings, and they are followed by the outstanding Rob Burrow, who has been voted the man of the series.

2005: "It's an amazing feeling, it's been a tough week because we've never in this position before.

"We showed some mental toughness to get back in the game. We knew we could do it.

"We've had some bad times but they're in the past. I think we're progressing as a nation and as players."
Great Britain captain Jamie Peacock

80 mins: TRY Great Britain 28-22 New Zealand
New Zealand go short at the kick-off and win the ball back. They sweep it wide and it needs a good decision and tackle from David Hodgson to prevent a score out wide.

But a few tackles later, the ball goes out to Taniela Tuiaki on the wing, and he beats Hodgson and Danny McGuire's attempted tackles to slide in at the corner.

Second rower Jeremy Smith misses with the conversion, the final hooter goes and Britain have completed a 3-0 series whitewash. New Zealand may have had the last word, but it's been Great Britain's series.

76 mins: PEN Great Britain 28-18 New Zealand
Great driving play from Jamie Peacock as he powers close to the line. Jon Clarke is held up just short off the next tackle, but the Kiwis concede a penalty for slapping the ball out of his hands.

Britain opt for the kick at the goal, and Rob Burrow slots the simple kick to give the Lions a 10-point lead which they will surely hold onto now with just a couple of minutes remaining.

74 mins: Rob Burrow is dancing away like Michael Jackson out there, just what New Zealand's massive forwards don't want.

72 mins: The rain must be bad, because even Paul Wellens is making mistakes under the high ball. he tries to trap the up-and-under with his foot after getting nowhere near it with his hands.

He makes a bit of a mess of the whole thing, but is relieved to get a penalty after New Zealand's chasers are adjudged offside.

70 mins: Overly ambitious play from New Zealand as they lose the ball on the first tackle. Sam Perrett embarks on a delightful diagonal run, but his flip out of the back of the hand goes behind Chase Stanley and out into touch.

69 mins: David Hodgson loses the ball in the floodlights and knocks on the up-and-under. It really isn't easy with the rain just belting down at the JJB STadium.

66 mins: TRY & CONVERSION Great Britain 26-18 New Zealand
The 18-year-old Chase Stanley scores his second try on his Test debut as he just gets a fingertip to the ball after getting on the end of half-back Jeremy Smith's kick ahead.

Stanley smashes into the advertising hoardings, but his bravery is rewarded as the video referee gives him the benefit of the doubt.

The other Jeremy Smith slots the conversion to give New Zealand renewed hope.

63 mins: The ball is turning into the proverbial bar of soap, and Louis Anderson - with the line at his mercy - is unlucky to knock the ball on after Chase Stanley flips a kick to the corner back in play.

62 mins: Simon Mannering is held up just short of the line for New Zealand. The big Kiwi loose forward is convinced he has scored, but his protests do not impress the referee.

60 mins: The Lions concede a penalty after Paul Wellens is shielded by a team-mate as he runs out of his 20.

Taniela Tuiaki and Paul Wellens both slide towards the ball in the in-goal area, but it beats both of them and it needs a hefty boot from David Hodgson to save the try. Another goal-line drop-out for the Kiwis.

59 mins: Lance Hohaia goes agonisingly close for New Zealand on the last tackle, but some fantastic defence from Great Britain holds him up over the line.

57 mins: New Zealand earn a goal-line drop-out after a clever kick from Ben Roberts forces Britain to hack it out.

54 mins: TRY & CONVERSION Great Britain 26-12 New Zealand
Straight from the scrum, Great Britain kick long through Sean O'Loughlin into acres of space for Danny McGuire to chase.

This time the bounce goes his way and the lightning-quick stand-off scores a fantastic try. Referee Tony Archer hands it up to the video official to check on the offside and a 50-50 decision goes Britain's way.

Rob Burrow kicks another conversion to give Britain a commanding lead.

52 mins: Keith Senior makes exactly the same mistake as Roy Asotasi with a knock on in the tackle. But two tackles later, New Zealand's Louis Anderson returns the favour to give the ball back to the Lions at the scrum.

50 mins: The rain is falling fairly heavily in Wigan now and things are not going New Zealand's way as captain Roy Asotasi knocks on in the tackle, although it does look like James Roby has some hands involved.

46 mins: Almost another try for Great Britain as Chase Stanley fumbles a kick going backwards with David Hodgson in close attendance. Fortunately for the debutant winger, his full-back Sam Perrett gets back to save the day.

45 mins: "That's the reason why Tony Smith keeps faith with Rob Burrow when the little guy can conjure up magic like that!"
Mistah_Lee on 606

44 mins: TRY & CONVERSION Great Britain 20-12 New Zealand
Rob Burrow is going from strength to strength in this series, and he extends Great Britain's lead with a trademark dart to the line.

Burrow takes a simple pass off James Graham and dances past Jeremy Smith, Dene Halatau before accelerating away from the cover defence in an arcing run to the line.

And Burrow rams home the advantage as he kicks the conversion.

42 mins: A confidence-boosting take from David Hodgson as the winger gets underneath Ben Roberts's spiralling up-and-under. Soon after, the Lions win a penalty for a high tackle on Danny McGuire.

41 mins: Paul Wellens kicks off to get the second half under way at the JJB Stadium.

40 mins: TRY Great Britain 14-12 New Zealand
Clinical play gives the Lions the lead with the final action of the half as winger David Hodgson scores.

Sean O'Loughlin breaks off the back of the scrum, and the ball flows through the hands of Rob Burrow and Keith Senior to give Hodgson a simple run-in. Tremendous character from Great Britain as they earn a massive psychological boost just before the break.

Burrow again goes close with the kick, but his effort bounces off the upright and stays out. The half-time whistle blows, and Britain jog in with a real spring in their step.

39 mins: A terrible mistake from Chase Stanley as he knocks on with an amateurish attempt at fielding a Danny McGuire bomb.

36 mins: TRY Great Britain 10-12 New Zealand
This is more like it from Great Britain as centre Keith Senior, in what is likely to be his final Test appearance, scores out wide.

Sean O'Loughlin creates the score with a beautiful offload as four tacklers swarm around him.

Rob Burrow's conversion attempt goes close, but is just short of the posts.

34 mins: Danny McGuire tries to chip through, and three Lions players - McGuire, Sean O'Loughlin and Paul Wellens - are taken out off the ball to hand the Lions a clear penalty.

32 mins: TRY & CONVERSION Great Britain 6-12 New Zealand
Incredible strength from replacement James Graham as he scores with his first touch of the ball.

He runs back against the grain and carries six - yes, six - Kiwi tacklers over the line with him to score close to the posts. Absolutely remarkable.

Rob Burrow kicks the conversion and the Lions are back in the match.

30 mins: Jamie Peacock and James Roby are held up just short of the line in successive tackles as Britain look to get on the scoresheet.

The ball comes out wide, and Martin Gleeson looks to have a clear run to the line only to knock-on with a gaping hole to run into.

29 mins: Britain are lucky after Danny McGuire's penalty kick to touch bounces well in-field. Chase Stanley looks to have it under control, but makes a meal of it and ends up with a foot in touch.

28 mins: David Hodgson is enduring a torrid time out on the left wing, with the Kiwi half-backs kicking to him time and time again.

Chase Stanley beats him to the aerial ball again, and flings the ball back in play. The video referee rules that the winger touched the corner flag, but awards New Zealand a penalty for Hodgson's tackle while Stanley was in the air. These are difficult times for the Lions.

26 mins: Danny McGuire chips ahead into space and tries to regather, but gets a horrible bounce. New Zealand clear it up through a powerful run from Taniela Tuiaki.

There is another penalty for New Zealand when Gareth Ellis goes high in the tackle.

24 mins: A let-off for Great Britain as Chase Stanley is held up over the line. Ben Roberts's kick to the corner is missed by David Hodgson, leaping up in the air like a rugby union line-out jumper.

Stanley collects the ball and comes inside to the try-line, but three Lions players get their bodies between the ground and the ball.

23 mins: Another penalty against Great Britain as Sean O'Loughlin is penalised for interfering at the play-the-ball. Things are going New Zealand's way at the moment.

21 mins: "New Zealand were 'Humiliated in Hull' and now they are 'Winning in Wigan'.

"Some turnaround from seven days ago. GB need to keep their heads up... and keep the ball too."Mistah_Lee on 606

20 mins: Jon Wilkin is penalised for a dangerous tackle, handing field position back to New Zealand. The Lions need a spark from somewhere.

18 mins: New Zealand hooker Dene Halatau scoots out from dummy-half and catches Jon Clarke napping, making 15m straight up the middle. The Kiwis are slightly quicker in everything they are doing so far.

16 mins: Ben Roberts knocks-on after a three-man tackle from Ade Gardner, Rob Burrow and Adrian Morley to give Britain a decent attacking position.

The Lions are looking dangerous, but Gareth Ellis slightly over-runs a pass from Paul Wellens and knocks on under pressure from Chase Stanley.

14 mins: Excellent play from New Zealand full-back Sam Perrett as he makes an extra 10m after Great Britain fail to complete their initial tackle as he runs back a Rob Burrow kick.

11 mins: TRY & CONVERSION Great Britain 0-12 New Zealand
It's like we're watching a different team from last week as New Zealand score their second try in quick succession.

Ben Roberts runs the ball on the last tackle and glides past two attempted tackles before passing to Clinton Toopi, who takes and gives in one smooth motion to allow Paul Whatuira a simple run to the line. A great try from the Kiwis.

Once again, second rower Jeremy Smith (to distinguish him from half-back Jeremy Smith) slots the extras.

9 mins: Adrian Morley tries to be too clever by half with an offload that goes all wrong, and the ball is snaffled by New Zealand.

7 mins: TRY & CONVERSION Great Britain 0-6 New Zealand
A great finish out wide from debutant Chase Stanley gives New Zealand a much-needed boost and the lead.

It's a simple handling move, but the Kiwis make the most of a one-man overlap with some lovely hands giving Stanley the chance to cut back inside Danny McGuire's tackle and dot down.

Second rower Jeremy Smith kicks a brilliant conversion from the touchline, especially considering he is not a recognised frontline goalkicker.

5 mins: The ball goes wide to Keith Senior again, and he links up with David Hodgson only for the winger to knock-on. The Lions should have done more with that opportunity.

3 mins: A good pass from Jon Wilkin releases Keith Senior down the left touchline, and his pass inside finds Rob Burrow. Jeremy Smith tackles the half-back and then concedes the penalty for lying all over him.

2 mins: Ade Gardner spills the first bomb of the match, but the ball goes backwards and Paul Wellens cleans up.

1 min: Ben Roberts kicks off to get the match under way, and there is a confident offload out of the first tackle of the match from Adrian Morley.

The Lions go through the set before Rob Burrow kicks upfield for Sam Perrett to collect.

1816: The national anthems are out of the way, the haka is respectfully met by the Lions players and we're a few moments away from the start of the final Test. Hold onto your hats.

1814: There are manly hugs aplenty in the New Zealand dressing room, before both sets of players walk out onto the pitch at the JJB Stadium to a great reception.

1812: The GB players look relaxed on the cameras from the dressing room. There must be a danger that the fact they have already wrapped up the series will just take the edge off their performance, although coach Tony Smith says he is confident that his players are on the money.

"There are some very motivated players here," he says.

"Hopefully we can turn that into another excellent performance."

1808: The announcer is well into his familiar pre-match rabble-rousing routine, and the Kiwi players are only just leaving the stage to go back to their dressing room.

1804: "The traffic situation will have disrupted New Zealand's preparation. I can see another battering on the cards. And I LOVE IT!!"
Mistah_Lee on 606

Schadenfreude's great, isn't it?

1802: This is the last time we'll see the famous GB shirts in action for a few years, with England taking the mantle for next year's World Cup in Australia. Surely the Lions won't go out with a defeat?

1759: The Great Britain players jog back down the tunnel after completing their warm-up routine. The Kiwis, meanwhile, are still making up for lost time as they run through a few handling moves.

1753: "Britain have got to keep both eyes on the prize and the prize is a 3-0 whitewash.

"A whitewash against the number two-ranked Test side in international rugby league is a great way for Great Britain to bow out of this sport."
lukethebody on 606

1747: New Zealand finally make it out onto the pitch to begin their warm-up. They could have done without this added hassle.

1746: Latest news from Wigan is that the Kiwis got caught up in traffic on their way to the stadium. Can anything else go wrong for them on this tour?

1740: Evening all. All eyes are on the JJB Stadium in Wigan as Great Britain look to seal a series whitewash against New Zealand.

Both teams have freshened things up in their team selection, with the Lions bringing Danny McGuire in at stand-off and Jon Wilkin at loose forward. Elsewhere, David Hodgson plays on the wing and Jamie Jones-Buchanan is set to make his Lions debut off the bench.

New Zealand have named a brand-new half-back combination of debutant Ben Roberts and Jeremy Smith.
