Ronnie O'Sullivan wasn't the only person streaking towards the trophy on Monday night.

A streaker takes centre stage but fails to produce any flashes of brilliance

Much to the embarrassment of Crucible security, a naked gentleman took the start of the final session as his, ahem, cue to run towards the balls (on the table).

General mayhem, whooping and silliness followed, but the only man untouched by the nonsense was O'Sullivan himself.

Wrapping up the title in under 20 minutes, he was not even put off by Graeme Dott's offer to hide the gentleman's modesty behind a button which rolled off the nudie man's discarded clothing and into the Scot's hands.

"It was more than big enough to cover up 'his cue'," the Scot joked afterwards.

"Be prepared" - that's the motto of the boy scouts, and Ronnie O'Sullivan was clearly one of Baden-Powell's acolytes if his behaviour in frame 19 was anything to go by.

The Rocket had unluckily snookered himself after going into the pack having potted a long red.

Opting for the green, he missed by a whisker, and was put in again by Dott.

He tried again - and missed again, this time on the other side of the green.

The Rocket knew what to expect - and simply froze in his pose, awaiting Dotty to put him in again.

Having not moved a muscle since his last attempt, we all thought he was certain to get the angles right this time.

Well, no, actually, 'cos he fluffed it again and Dott went on to win the frame.

"I cannae remember the colour of my other shirts"

Dotty's on-table persona may seem rather sensible, but the Scot has displayed a rather nifty dry sense of humour in his post-match interviews.

"Ye've all been saying I only brought two shirts to the tournament. It's nae true!" the Scot said after the final - in reference to stories which had appeared in certain red-top papers.

"I've brought three!" he then proudly announced.

Dott admitted that he would probably use a fraction of his �125,000 runners-up cheque to buy a few more - but a little bit will probably be put aside.

The patter of tiny Dotties will soon be reverberating around the household, as Graeme's partner Elaine is expecting a child in October.
