Guildford Heat have signed former GB under-20 player, Tayo Ogedengbe.
The 6'6" forward arrives in Surrey after spending a year at the Gran Canaries Basketball Academy.
Head Coach Chad McKnight told BBC Surrey: "Even though he's still young, in a few years you're looking at a great player possibly."
"He's willing to learn and he's a guy who I think has a lot of potential to play. If I see a guy like that I want to grab that guy," McKnight said.
The Londoner played for several teams in the capital and captained the English Universities team last year. He made his BBL debut with London Capital in the 2007-08 season, starting all 33 games.
And Ogedengbe has already made an impact for the Heat, lifting the Thunder Cup in the pre-season.
Ogedengbe said: "I am really excited about playing for the Heat and can't wait to get rolling.
"This is an exciting part of my basketball career. It's a strong team and a good bunch of guys with lots of fans on our side. It sounds like a good recipe for success and I am looking forward to the season."
