Kelly will have high hopes of pentathlon gold now Sweden's Carolina Kluft will not be there. She's made personal bests all through the winter and she looks in great shape.
Kelly will have relished the chance to take on Kluft and as an athlete she may have wished she'd been there, but a small part will be happy she's not.
It won't be easy but this gives her a real opportunity, and if she performs the way she has been she can take the gold.
