Bruce Anstey was the fastest man in Wednesday's Superbike practice session for Saturday's Ulster Grand Prix. Anstey clocked a best lap of 130.53mph which left him ahead of Guy Martin (130.41) and Keith Amor (130.12). Conor Cummins, quickest in the earlier Superbike qualifying for Thursday's Dundrod 150 meeting, took fourth. Ryan Farquhar led the Superstock and Super Twins practice while William Dunlop was fastest in the 600 and 250s while Ian Lougher topped the 125s. Cummins clocked 130.04 to place fourth in the Ulster Grand Prix Superbike qualifying. That was faster than the Isle of Man rider's lead time of 128.85mph on his McAdoo Kawasaki in the Dundrod 150 practice which left him ahead of Guy Martin (128.61) and Ian Lougher (128.55). Farquhar qualified fifth in the Ulster Grand Prix Superbike session with a 129.75 lap just ahead of Ian Hutchinson (129.72). The Dungannon man also topped the Superstock session with a 129.79 which left him ahead of Amor (128.14), Gary Johnson (127.64), Cummins (127.70), Anstey (127.57) and William Dunlop (126.24). William Dunlop led the Supersport 600 session with a 126.18 which left him ahead of Farquhar (125.75), Anstey (125.38), Amor (125.37), Lougher (125.36) and Guy Martin (125.26). Dunlop (118.81) edged out his brother Michael (115.62) to head the 250 practice with Lougher (115.53) in third. Farquhar lead Super Twins practice with a lap of 113.28 while Ian Lougher (108.51) was fastest in the 125s. Lougher finished ahead of the Dunlop brothers William (107.80) and Michael (106.44). Archibald produced a lap of 128.24 to place fourth in the opening Superbike session which left him ahead of Farquhar (128.19) and Bruce Anstey (127.35). Farquhar's hopes that the MSS Kawasaki superbike would be ready for Wednesday's sessions were dashed. John McGuinness has arrived for the meeting where he will compete for Padgetts Honda in the Supersport and 600 classes.
