Christian Elkin will ride for the Ulster Grand Prix team in the Dundrod event

The Ulster Grand Prix Bike Week Race Team has been launched as part of a project financed by an anonymous motorcycling enthusiast.

Irishmen Jamie Hamilton and Stuart Elwood will compete for the team in the British Superstock Championship.

The team, which will ride R6 Yamahas will be represented by Christian Elkin at the Ulster Grand Prix.

"This will enable us to raise the profile of this great event," said UGP clerk-of-the-course Noel Johnston.

The team will have backing from Seton Tuning.
