1715: Miguel Angel Jimenez's Ryder Cup hopes are spiralling down the pan with three straight bogeys from the 9th to drop back to five over. He is a long way back in the qualifying rankings and despite making the cut, his performance is unlikely to interest European captain Ian Woosnam for one of his two wildcards.

1655: Jose Maria Olazabal double bogeyed the 1st but gets a shot back at the 5th and is now level for the championship. Olazabal's place in the Ryder Cup is under threat as Luke Donald, Sergio Garcia and Henrik Stenson are likely to overtake him in the standings.

1519: Maggert is definitely having an entertaining start. He claims his second birdie in a row at the 6th while Chad Campbell moves to level par with two birdies in his opening three holes.

1450: Australian Appleby, winner of two events on the PGA Tour in 2006, is at it again with a birdie at the 5th to move to three over. Maggert is going the other way however, and is four over for the day after a double-bogey six at the 4th.

1431: Maggert on the other hand is struggling and drops another shot at the par-three 2nd.

1428: Appleby continues his fine start with another birdie at the 3rd, his second of the day and is now on four over.

1422: Jeff Maggert, who won the St Jude Classic in May, had an eagle at the 1st in round three but is unable to repeat the feat and this time drops a shot.
