Thomas Bjorn profited from a final round collapse by Sergio Garcia to win the Dunlop Phoenix tournament in Japan. Garcia was three shots clear after the third round and seemed poised to end his 2003 title drought.
But six bogeys and one double-bogey in a final round of 78 saw the Spaniard slip back.
Bjorn coped with the blustery conditions much better, producing an even-par 71 to finish on 12 under and win by two shots.
Japan's Daisuke Maruyama was second with Garcia having to settle for sixth place on eight under.
Briton Lee Westwood fired a 66 to claim a share of third place on 275 at the $1.8m (1m) event, the richest in Japan.
It is the second time Bjorn has won the Miyazaki event.
Ironically, the Dane's first victory came when he beat Garcia in a play-off in 1999.
