Teske takes control
Rachel Teske
Rachel Teske is looking for a second straight tournament win
Rachel Teske took a two-stroke lead with a second round of 68 at the Rochester LPGA.

The Australian's four-under-par round took her to seven under for the tournament - two clear of Canada's A.J. Eathorne.

Tied for third on four under par are first-round leader Tina Barrett, who shot a 67, and South Korea's Mi Hyun Kim, who had a 71.

Teske arrived at Locust Hill in great form after winning the Giant Eagle LPGA Classic last Sunday in a four-way play-off that included Annika Sorenstam.

"It's been going good," said Teske. "I guess I've got a little bit of momentum and a little bit of confidence.

"Every day is a new day, so we'll kind of see how it goes. I tend to play good in runs."

  • Trish Johnson and Lynnette Brooky share the halfway lead on six under par after the second round of the Open de France Dames at le Golf d'Arras.

Johnson carded seven birdies and three bogeys for a five-under-par 67, while New Zealander Brooky had three birdies and a bogey for a 70.

Norwegian Vibeke Stensrud is just a shot adrift in third place alongside Ana-Belen Sanchez of Spain and Sweden's Johanna Westerberg.
