Solid game, but one where Germany outplayed Poland for the full 90 minutes. The closeness of the game was a combination of bad luck for Germany and some amazing saves by Poland's goalie. From how they played, I would have expected this to be three or 4-0. Defence was supposed to be Germany's weak point, but they seemed to defend just great in this game.

Poland played negatively for a draw and got what they deserved. Teams always try to get away wtih defending for large portions of the match (England first). You could just tell a goal was coming near the end, you could sense it.

That's two bad misses by Podolski and Klose. Tense and tight game so far, quite enjoyable. I wonder what the second half holds in stock for us? Poland are very well set-up, they have a lot in defence when needed but seem to be able to get people forward when needed.

I predict a 3-2 win for Germany. Podolski getting two. It'll be the best game so far.

Poland would have been expecting to come into this with three points already under their belt and aiming to get a draw. Now that they've lost against Ecuador I really can't seem them beating Germany. They're going to have to change from the 4-5-1 they played in the first game and play in a more direct and attacking manner.

Although Germany have a brittle defence they are capable of effective counterattacks as they showed against Costa Rica.

I predict a 3-1 defeat for the Poles.
