Slade is happy at Huish Park |
Yeovil Town manager Russell Slade has committed himself to the club until the summer of 2011 after signing a two-year extension to his contract. The 47-year-old guided the Glovers to the League One play-offs last season and is keen to take them up a tier.
"I am an ambitious manager and this is an ambitious club," said Slade.
"I am determined to help get this club into the Championship and trust that all our supporters will get behind us as we strive to make that a reality".
Slade has been at Huish Park since June 2006 and his commitment to the club has delighted chairman John Fry.
"This gives us the continuity we are looking for on our footballing side and I'm very pleased Russell has committed himself in this way," said Fry.
"It will enable us to build for the future both on and off the field."
Yeovil are 15th in League Two having won just one of their last six league games.
