Fulham skipper Andy Melville may be following Rufus Brevett out of the Craven Cottage exit door.

Melville's contract expires at the end of this season and the Cottagers have only offered him a one-year extension.

The 35-year-old Welsh international warned that unless there is any change in heart he will not be playing for Fulham next season.

Melville said: "It's in their court to come back to me.

"They've offered me a one-year contract and I've turned it down.

"I'm just keeping my options open until the end of the season and see how it pans out from there.

"I'll see at the end of the season what I've got on the table."

Melville's situation echoes that of Brevett, who made the cross-London trip to West Ham under a cloud.

The 33-year-old defender claimed he wanted to stay at Craven Cottage under manager Jean Tigana but was sold against his wishes.

French striker Steve Marlet has also indicated that he is unhappy at Fulham and could leave the club.
