Stubbs began his career at Bolton |
Derby have signed Everton defender Alan Stubbs on an 18-month contract. Manager Paul Jewell, who lured the centre-back to the Rams for no fee, said he was delighted with the capture of the 36-year-old Merseysider.
"It's a terrific capture for us. Stubbsy is a first class pro and someone who has been there," he said.
"He has seen it and done it. I am delighted to have him on board and believe he will add experience and steel to our backline."

Stubbs is set to be included in the squad for the match at Birmingham on Saturday.
The defender began his career as a trainee at Bolton and spent six years there until moving to Celtic in 1996.
During his five-year stay in Glasgow he twice overcame testicular cancer, before he was transferred to Everton in 2001.
After a move to Sunderland in 2005 that saw him make just 10 appearances he moved back to Everton in January 2006.
