Sunderland central defender Alan Stubbs believes some of the criticism being suffered by the bottom-of-the-table Black Cats players is justified. Sunderland have lost their last five Premiership games and been criticised for the manner of their defeats to Portsmouth and Aston Villa.
"It's not difficult to accept it, because more often than not they're right," he told BBC Radio Newcastle.
"But it's up to that individual to take it on the chin and get on with it."
Mick McCarthy's side have just five points from their first 13 games of the top-flight season after promotion from the Championship last term.
