Striker Michael Bridges has thanked Carlisle United for letting him join Championship side Hull on the last day of the summer transfer window. "I said when I went up to sign for Carlisle that I would want to move to a club in a higher division if one came in," the 28-year-old told BBC Sport.
"They were happy with that and we had a great season. I have Carlisle to thank for giving me that opportunity.
"The chance to go to Hull came and Carlisle didn't stand in my way."
Bridges was sold to the Tigers for �350,000 on transfer deadline day.
