Bristol City have decided to release Michael Bridges from his contract. The decision means the 27-year-old has been able to join League Two outfit Carlisle where he has been on loan since November in an 18-month deal.
The former Leeds and Sunderland striker joined the Ashton Gate side in the summer but failed to make an impact.
He made 13 appearances for City, scoring one goal, before he moved on loan to Brunton Park where he has netted twice in six games.
