Brighton & Hove Albion have signed former Chelsea midfielder Liam Bridcutt on a five-month permanent contract.
The 21-year-old came through the youth ranks at Chelsea but failed to play a game for the top-flight side and was released in the summer.
During his time at Stamford Bridge, Bridcutt had loan spells at Watford, Yeovil and Stockport.
Boss Gus Poyet told the club website: "He has the opportunity to prove he is worth a longer-term deal with us."
