Jim Weir has resigned as manager of Arbroath in order to take over at Brechin City.
The former St Johnstone defender replaces Jim Duffy at Glebe Park after six months in charge at Gayfield.
Weir stepped in to the manager's seat at Arbroath in early November after the resignation of John McGlashan.
But he could not prevent the Red Lichties from being relegated to the Third Division after defeat by Forfar Athletic in the play-off final.
Duffy also left his position last week after Cowdenbeath pipped his Brechin City team to First Division promotion in their play-off final.
Weir previously managed Montrose and was also assistant to Owen Coyle at St Johnstone.
