Forfar won promotion to Division Two thanks to goals from Martyn Fotheringham and Bryan Deasley in their play-off win over Arbroath.
Following a goalless first leg, Fotheringham looped in a cracking shot after just five minutes.
The home side were dealt a blow on the hour when Stephen Tulloch was dismissed for a second caution.
However, the Loons held firm and substitute Deasley added a late goal after missing two good chances.
The result means Arbroath drop down to Division Three and the visitors will rue a number of scorned chances.
Philip McGuire's header from Kenneth McLean's corner produced a fine fingertip save from Euan McLean and Robbie Ross missed with a close range header.
Tulloch also missed the target with a header from close in before he was sent off.
Already on a yellow card for unsporting behaviour, he received his second booking for a foul on Kenneth McLean.
Dick Campbell's men responded well to the setback and Deasley was always a threat on the counter-attack as victory was sealed.
