Aldershot manager Gary Waddock paid tribute to his all-conquering players after their 2-1 win over Salisbury in the wake of their Setanta Shield win.
"I have to credit the players," Waddock told BBC Southern Counties Radio.
"We celebrated a cup final win on Thursday after extra time and penalties, and a day and half later they've come up trumps again.
"It lasted 94 minutes today and its a credit to the players the way they've conducted themselves fitness-wise."
Daniel Hylton's late header on Saturday took Aldershot them 17 points clear at the top of the Blue Square Premier table.
They are now on the brink of a return to the Football League and travel to Ebbsfleet United on Tuesday before hosting Burton Albion on Saturday.
