Peter Thompson bagged a brace as the Carnegie Premier League champions cruised to victory at New Grosvenor. The N Ireland striker reacted quickest to score on five minutes after Glenn Ferguson's shot struck a post.
Ferguson's mis-hit effort crept in after 22 minutes and Thompson made it 3-0 from close range on 40 minutes.
Distillery's Conor Hagan was red-carded after a foul on Jamie Mulgrew, who went on score his first Linfield goal with a superb strike after 72 minutes.
