George McMullan scored twice as Cliftonville beat 10-man Lisburn Distillery at Solitude on Saturday.

Mark Holland made it 1-0 on three minutes, scoring from close range after an error by goalkeeper David Wilton.

Ryan Catney sidefooted wide from close range before Paul Muir equalised with a left foot free-kick from the edge of the penalty area after 22 minutes.

Darren Armour was sent-off for an elbow offence on 39 before McMullan headed in on 43 and fired in the third after 88.

Wilton began between the posts for the Whites after regular number one Philip Matthews was injured during the pre-match warm-up.

After Holland and Muir traded goals, Armour was dismissed for an elbowing offence on Ronan Scannell and McMullan netted with a deft near post header from Declan O'Hara's cross.

John O'Loughlin was wide with a right foot shot while Chris Scannell headed into David Wilton's hands.

McMullan scored his second and his side's third with a fine right foot half volley from 15 yards.
