Alain Emerson scored Loughgall's first goal against Crusaders |
Loughgall celebrated their first league win since mid-December thanks to second half goals from Alain Emerson and Clifford Sterritt. Defeat for Crusaders leaves them still just two points ahead of bottom club Omagh, much to the relief of watching Town boss Paul Kee.
Emerson's 51st mintue opener was a floated free-kick which beat Crues keeper Neil Armstrong.
Then Sterritt stabbed in the second from close-range on 67 minutes.
Sterritt was substituted soon afterwards and got a great ovation with the points looking secure.
Earlier Loughgall had created the best chances of the first half with defender Darragh Peden heading wide from a good position and Emerson striking the bar with a shot from the edge of the area.
