Limavady United had the points wrapped up by half-time at Inver Park after storming into a 3-0 lead. Kevin Ramsey, Paul Brown and Vincent Sweeney were on target as Limavady threatened to repeat their 6-0 win when the sides met earlier in the season.
Top scorer Ramsey met a Martin Cutmore cross with an overhead kick for the opener on nine minutes.
Brown made it 2-0 with a free-kick on 18 minutes and Sweeney finished off a great move just before the break.
Aaron Callaghan made it 4-0 late in the second half.
Tommy Wright's Limavady stay in fourth place, eight points behind Glentoran in third with a game in hand.
Larne have not won an Irish Premier League match since their 3-0 success away to Ards on 27 December.
