| Tuesday, 18 February, 2003, 13:37 GMT Caf queries Kenya FA ![]() Kenyan supporters could suffer a football drought The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has demanded that Kenya's Football Federation (KFF) defend itself over allegations that it has cheated in continental age grade competitions. In a letter addressed to the KFF on Tuesday, Caf general secretary Mustapha Fahmy asked for an explanation on the true age of Bovenger Misiko. He is currently a member of Kenya's U-17 team. Misiko, also a member of Pipeline FC, Kenya's representatives in this year's African Champions League, is listed to have been born in 1981, instead of 1986. Fahmy was reacting to a complaint launched by the Ghanaian Football Association, after the former U-17 World champions were beaten by the Kenyans over two legs in December. Fahmy said following their complaint, Caf launched its own investigation, which found the inconsistencies in Misiko's date of birth. If Kenya is found guilty of cheating the country could be fined by Caf and banned from all international competitions. | Top Africa stories now: Links to more Africa stories are at the foot of the page. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
