New Zealand - Young Pretender
Age 23 ODI debut: v West Indies, March 2006
Attacking top-order batsman, Ross Taylor made the team after three centuries at the start of the 2005-6 domestic season.
In his third international, he hammered 12 fours and four sixes in an unbeaten 128. But his final two innings in the same home series with Sri Lanka saw him go for consecutive ducks.
Has batted in the important number three position since making his century and will have a golden opportunity to make a name for himself in the Caribbean.
