England fast bowler Steve Harmison believes his side can win the ICC Champions Trophy despite their 23-run defeat to India at Lord's on Sunday. Harmison was named man of the series as England edged India 2-1 in the three games of the NatWest Challenge.
"We now have a good chance of winning the ICC Champions Trophy," he said of the event, which starts on Friday.
"After some mid-season problems, we've come out and proven to people that we are a good one-day side."
Harmison took 4-22 to help reduce India to 204 all out. But in reply England's batsmen - aside from Michael Vaughan (74) and Ashley Giles (39) - capitulated.
Afterwards the Durham pace bowler added: "We'd like to have won the series 3-0 but to win 2-1 against a good India side is great for us as a one-day side."

Sourav Ganguly was the pick of the Indian batsmen after his 90 kept India in the chase after some earlier setbacks.
The Indian captain said: "We needed someone to stay there and I managed to do that."
Despite the win, he warned India were "still some way from where we can be" ahead of the Champions Trophy.
"We've now got more confidence and we hope to go on from here," said Ganguly.
Special tribute was paid to Darren Gough at Lord's after he became the first Englishman to take 200 one-day international wickets with the first of his victims on the day.
Of his achievement, Gough said: "It's taken me 130 hard games. It's something I've wanted to achieve all my career."
Skipper Michael Vaughan said Gough's experience was vital to the team.
"He has shown his class in these three games and he is going into the ICC Champions Trophy full of confidence.
"I am delighted for him because he has worked very hard to get back from a very bad knee injury."
