Somerset captain Justin Langer has told BBC Somerset that he is happy to return to the South West and wait 12 months to play in the Indian Premier League.
"I think the whole world's watching to see how the IPL goes this year. It's a very exciting concept and I'll be watching to see how my team gets on.
"At the moment my heart and soul is with Somerset and the project here, and then my enthusiasm will be with that."
Langer is contracted to play for the Jaipur-based Rajasthan Royals in 2009.
"I know Shane Warne's pretty excited about it, captaining that team, and Graeme Smith who played here in Somerset. There's some really good people involved in it so that's another exciting concept."
But the Perth-born batsman says his family are happily settled near Taunton and feels he has unfinished business that drew him back to the county that he calls his second home.
The only thing last year counts for is that it gives us great memories

Langer is keen that his Somerset team-mates resist the temptation to rest on their laurels after last season's double success, when they won Division Two of the County Championship and gained promotion from the second tier of the Pro40 league.
"The only thing last year counts for is that it gives us great memories - it was one of my favourite seasons of my whole career - and the opportunity to play in the first division.
"That's where it's at, it doesn't matter what sport we're playing, we want to be in the first division.
"Our fans can expect really positive cricket, competition for places is intense and it's keeping me up at night already trying to work out who's going to play.
"There's 11 spots on a cricket team and probably 18 guys who could easily play in those 11."
