St Johns and Ramsey Cricket clubs have both drawn experienced sides in the prestigious Lancashire Cup.

The Saints have drawn the highly successful Saddleworth League side Austerlands, from Oldham.

Meanwhile, Ramsey will meet the winners of the first-round tie between Monton and Glossop in the second round after receiving a bye.

The favourites in that game will be Glossop, who last year ended near the top of the Lancashire County League.

Glossop boast some extremely talented players including Sri Lankan A international Bathiya Pererb.

Salford club Monton play their cricket in the Central Lancashire League.

The first round is to be played by 17 May and the second round is on 7 June.
