Champions Trophy story in photos - 2004
England were on the brink of victory before the Windies snatched the trophy from them
Both semi-finals resulted in convincing victories - but not for the favourites - as England hammered Australia by six wickets, with Michael Vaughan starring with ball and bat.

West Indies crushed Pakistan but England were still fancied to end a largely disappointing competition with a home triumph.

Even more so when the Caribbean team slumped to 147-8 chasing a modest 218 at The Oval.

But Courtney Browne and Ian Bradshaw held their nerve to eventually canter to victory with seven balls to spare and give the Windies their first major one-day trophy since 1979.
