Australia wrapped up a 2-0 win in the series with a 213-run victory in the Second Test in Adelaide. New Zealand, chasing an unlikely 464 for victory, put up little resistance as they lost their last five wickets for 100 runs. Daniel Vettori hit a fine 59 before he was removed by spinner Darren Lehmann with the last ball before lunch.
Shane Warne took the decisive wicket of Chris Martin as Australia won with almost two full sessions left to play.
New Zealand had started the fifth day on 149-5 but lost four wickets for 94 in the morning session.
Jacob Oram was first to fall after just three balls, caught behind by Adam Gilchrist off Glenn McGrath for his overnight score of 40.
He was soon joined by wicketkeeper Brendon McCullum - who had added 53 for the sixth wicket with Oram - 10 runs later when he was given lbw to a Jason Gillespie delivery.
James Franklin fell with the final ball of the 69th over, caught behind off Michael Kasprowicz for 13.
Vettori delayed the inevitable as he notched up his eighth Test 50, off 64 balls, before being caught by Gillespie.
The New Zealand batsman went for the drive but did not get hold of it and spooned the ball into the hands of a jumping Gillespie at mid off to close the morning session.
Justin Langer was named man of the match for his double century in the first innings, while McGrath was man of the series. Australia won the First Test by an innings and 156 runs.
