Streak strikes out Windies
Third one-day international, Harare:
Zimbabwe v West Indies

Heath Streak
Streak struck just two boundaries in a 91-ball innings
Heath Streak led Zimbabwe to a 21-run win over West Indies in the third one-day international in Harare.

Streak rescued the home side's innings with a brisk 65 and took 3-45 to bowl West Indies out for in 47.2 overs.

Their second successive win gives the home side a 2-1 lead in the series with two matches to play.

Andy Blignaut took 4-43 and Chris Gayle was the only batsman able to defy Zimbabwe for any length of time.

Gayle's dismissal for 61 in the 40th over left the tourists 170-7, effectively ending their opposition.

We've got great team spirit - we want to keep giving our all rather than sitting back and wondering what might have been

But the West Indies cause was already in poor shape after Blignaut took two wickets in successive deliveries.

Marlon Samuels was caught at short leg off an ill-advised hook and Ricardo Powell yorked first ball.

But Streak made an equal contribution at the top of the order, bowling Brian Lara through the gate for 34 and dismissing the dangerous Shivnarine Chanderpaul.

Streak's batting, along with and Mark Vermeulen's 66, was key as Zimbabwe bounced back from 85-4 to 229-5.

The hosts had struggled to up the pace early on and medium-pacer Wavell Hinds profited with two wickets.

When you pick seven batsmen you expect to win. It's disappointing, but we've got to move on

Vusi Sibanda went first, driving a delivery from fast bowler Mervyn Dillon to Powell in the covers after making 11.

Trevor Gripper did a little better before his simple return catch to Hinds.

And Zimbabwe slipped to 69-3 in the 19th over when Craig Wishart stepped back onto his stumps facing fast bowler Vasbert Drakes.

Stuart Matsikenyeri also failed, trapped lbw by a Hinds delivery which held its line after pitching.

But Streak had no such difficulty, although he hit just two boundaries in a 91-ball innings.

Vermeulen, who made the same score on Sunday to tie the five-match series at 1-1, faced 70 balls and hit seven fours before he was bowled by a Powell off-cutter.
