A teenage spin prospect who bowls with a nice loop, Haque has been fast tracked into the senior squad from Bangladesh's under-19 side.
His figures of 4-59 for a Bangladesh Cricket Board President's XI against England were enough to persuade the selectors that he was ready for senior international cricket.
If he makes the final eleven, he is likely to be used to support fellow spinner Mohammad Rafique, who is one of Bangladesh's chief weapons in the series.
Shares his name with another Enamul Haque, who has played 10 Tests, the last against South Africa in April, and 29 one-day internationals.
