We really were treated to a classic and the good news is there is plenty more to come this weekend.

We're back tomorrow afternoon for Glasgow v Toulon and Leinster v Sale.

    See you then!

  3. 'We had many opportunities to win that game'published at 22:18 BST

    FT: Bath 43-41 Northampton

Saints director of rugby Phil Dowson speaking to Premier Sports:

"Credit to Bath. We were 28-7 ahead but never looked comfortable and we had many opportunities to win that game but we didn’t manage to do it and Bath take the lead in the 76th minute and we couldn’t get it back.

"We are obviously disappointed with the result but there are parts of our game we are very pleased with. Clearly there are things defensively we need to be better at.

"We need to make sure we don’t get too emotional about it and focus on next week and the rest of the season."

  4. 'One of the best I’ve been involved in'published at 22:16 BST

    FT: Bath 43-41 Northampton

Bath head coach Johann van Graan speaking to Premier Sports:

"I’ve been very fortunate to have been involved in rugby for a long time and this game certainly ranks as one of the best I’ve been involved in.

"I want to give credit to Northampton, what a rugby team they are they put us under huge pressure but what a fight back. Great to be part of the Champions Cup.

"They always start fast but we always knew we would come back into the game. The try before half-time was a big moment as we went into half-time with momentum and in the last 20 minutes our impacts made a massive difference but it could easily have gone the other way so I want to emphasise two very good sides.

"It’s amazing to see men living out their dreams."

  6. 'It’s the best place to play rugby'published at 22:01 BST

    FT: Bath 43-41 Northampton

Bath's Miles Reid, who was yellow carded after two minutes, speaking to Premier Sports: That was tough, a silly decision from me, my heart is only just coming down.

"We pride ourselves on never (being) too high, never too low, we stayed calm at half-time, we knew what we had to do and our physicality came into the game and the crowd is amazing, when they get behind you it’s the best place to play rugby.

"We knew we could go and score and had that bench coming on, that power coming on."

  7. 'Class to get the result'published at 21:59 BST

    FT: Bath 43-41 Northampton

Alfie Barbeary, named man of the match, speaking to Premier Sports:

"It was a pretty mental game to play in. It was class to get the result. Thomas (du Toit) started the trend of getting man of the match off the bench so I’m just following in his footsteps.

"I’ve got great players around me that make me look good. The big thing is our belief we didn’t look at the scoreline we just knew if we stuck to our processes we could give a performance and we did that.

"We’d love to have the semi-final in the UK and be able to have all the Bath fans there."

Bath were lacking power and energy until Alfie Barbeary came on for Sam Underhill in the first half. He made a massive difference. It shows the depth of Bath's squad that for two games in a row a player off the bench has been named man of the match.

A game that will live long in the memory.

    Exhilarating, electrifying, intoxicating.

It's just a shame there had to be a loser.

Both sides can hold their heads high.

Unbelievable play from Finn Russell to make the break. Pollock got told to let go of the ball but he didn't and it was probably the loudest cheer of the night when he was sin-binned.
