Bristol sign number eight Kareem for 2026-27 season

Bristol Bears have signed number eight Khalik Kareem from Championship side Worcester Warriors for the 2026-27 season.

The 21-year-old was previously part of Bath's senior academy before joining Worcester this season on their return to professional rugby in the second tier.

Kareem has made 16 appearances this season, scoring three tries, and is Bristol's second signing confirmed for the next campaign following Ethan Staddon from Bath.

"Khalik is a player with tremendous potential," said Bristol director of rugby Pat Lam.

"He possesses outstanding physical attributes - power, athleticism and presence that consistently show in his to dominate collisions and influence the game."

Lam added: "We have a strong track record of identifying and developing talent from the Championship and we believe this environment provides the ideal platform for Khalik to refine his game and realise his full potential."

Worcester head coach Matt Everard said Kareem's move was "a credit to his hard work this season" , externaland was "proud" of both the player and Warriors for helping him "earn a move to a huge club of Bristol's stature".

Bristol have not disclosed the length of Kareem's deal with the club.
