Tom Duncan has failed to score a try in a game just twice since the start of March

Cornish Pirates joint-coach Alan Paver says the club always believed in forward Tom Duncan.

The 26-year-old, who has battled back from a series of injuries, is the club's leading try-scorer this season with four in five games.

The former Redruth back-row has scored in nine of his last 11 matches.

"He's been great. He's had a tough couple of years with injury, but we knew we had it in him," Paver told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"He's had a run of games so I'm going to try and rest him at some point because we want to keep that body running, we've only got a relatively small squad.

"But it's good that he's been able to get that big engine up and running and get some form."
