The third day of a golf tournament is known as 'Moving Day' and it was Hideki Matsuyama who moved the furthest at the Masters.

The world number 25 is four shots clear going into tomorrow's final round.

Who says these world famous golfers aren't the same as us? Asked what he did during the rain break, Masters leader Hideki Matsuyama says he sat in his car and passed the time looking at his mobile phone.

The break certainly benefitted him. In his final eight holes after the restart, he made four birdies and an eagle at 15 to take control.

With neither Rose nor Zalatoris able to nab a birdie on the last, it leaves a four-way tie for second place between those two, Xander Schauffele and Marc Leishman.

World number six Schauffele will go out last tomorrow alongside Japan's Hideki Matsuyama, who is four shots clear at the top of the leaderboard.

But first, Justin Rose has to try to save par... and he lands the birdie putt to the delight of the patrons gathered around the 18th green. And to his own relief.

Gritty stuff today from the 40-year-old Englishman, who finishes with an even-par 72. That needed all his resilience and knowhow after a wayward back half.

Zalatoris can't land that elusive putt, making do with a par. That seals a one-under 71 which doesn't really do his efforts justice. A very good round.

Justin Rose knocks a wedge into the fringe and that takes the sting out of it, leaving him with another tricky putt to save par.

That's him out of the final pairing tomorrow. But Will Zalatoris will be there on his Masters debut if he sinks this birdie putt...

Justin Rose looks slightly pensive as he lines up his second shot off the pines. A cluster of trees are in front of the Englishman, but he says he has spotted a gap... and he has, you know. The ball flies past the green on the left and into where the few patrons are seated.

That should be the end of his three, although don't bet against him going up and down for par.

Will Zalatoris's task is simpler from the fairway and coolly knocks his second to 12 feet past the pin. Excellent.

A couple of excellent iron shots on the 18th give Brian Harman and Marc Leishman the opportunity to finish with a flourish.

Harman is in to16 feet but sees his birdie putt pull up an inch before the cup.

Leishman, plays a virtually identical putt in terms of pace that strays right. Neither have quite found their best form with the putter today.

So then, the final pairing head onto the last. A spot alongside Hideki Matsuyama - and a chance to chisel a shot off his lead - is at stake for Justin Rose and Will Zalatoris.

Zalatoris, virtually immaculate off the tee all day, finds the right side of the fairway.

Rose, however, pushes his drive into the trees on the same side.

Justin Rose has been scrapping most of the day and it appears to be taking its toll now on the 2013 US Open champion.

He punches a chip towards the 17th flag but it lacks conviction and leaves him with another tricky putt to save par.

Will Zalatoris, meanwhile, confidently knocks his long birdie putt to within a foot and writes down a par.

Back to Rose... got it. A cool head was required and Rose has one of the coolest.

One last putt for Jordan Spieth? Nope. Another birdie goes begging.

He has a frustrated swipe at his par putt before a wry smile.

The 2015 winner has got a great record at Augusta National but given his form in recent years, the fact he's contending this week will be a great comfort to him (despite his victory last week).

Marc Leishman looks like is is keen to get himself into the final pairing on Sunday.

Currently in a four-way tie for second, the 37-year-old plays a superb shot into the 17th hole to give himself a birdie putt. He can't get that to drop though so it's as you were.

Brian Harman's hole and day has not gone as planned. He registers his sixth bogey after three-putting.

Will Zalatoris hits a lovely drive past the 300-yard mark on 17, with Justin Rose knocking his effort a few yards further back and in the first cut.

The trees hamper Rose's path, though, meaning he goes up and over them to finish short of the green.

Zalatoris will be reaching for the putter, although he doesn't get his ball as high up as he would have hoped.

You feel Jordan Spieth might just need a birdie up the last to give himself half a chance tomorrow.

He's done the first bit well. Booming drive down the middle followed by a short-iron that lands pin-high, about six feet to the left.

Xander Schauffele speaking to Sky Sports: "I am very happy. I feel like I am playing very good golf. Overall I could not be happier with where my game is at. I just need to put some more things together.

"Hideki [Matsuyama] showed what could be done here which is good to know. I am sure the course will be different tomorrow but I put myself within arm's reach."
