Well that's me done after another utterly compelling day of golf.

I'm going to try and follow Lizette Salas' advice by heading home to have some good food, rest and hopefully a decent sleep to get ready for Sunday's Singles.

We will see you back here on Sunday morning around 10:30 BST.

In the meantime you can catch the highlights of today's action over on BBC Four right now.

And Peter Scrivener, one of our crew at Gleaneagles has put together a report on play today here.

    Europe 8-8 United States

Europe's Georgia Hall speaking to Sky Sports: "We didn’t have the best of starts but the weather was horrendous especially this afternoon but we ground it out.

"We got it back to two after some really good putts. Celine [Boutier] holed a monster birdie and we just stayed patient. It’s been tough all the matches have been very close."

    Europe 8-8 United States

US golfer Lizette Salas speaking to Sky Sports: "We feel a little warmer now we got that red point on the board and with not having to go down the 18th. We stuck it out and had super confidence in each other.

"Dry clothes, good food and rest [are needed now]. We have a lot of positive momentum going, we know what we can do now in these conditions and we just have to do it."

So it looks as though we're heading into the singles with the scores level.

The last time that happened was back in 2011, with Europe going on to win 15-13 at Killeen Castle in Ireland.

They were of course given a helping hand on that occasion by Cristie Kerr's injury withdrawal and concession to Karen Stupples.

And that is that. No messing round from Ally McDonald and Angel Yin who recognise the hopelessness of their situation.

    Ciganda & Munoz v Salas & Kang 1UP (16)

Spain's Azahara Munoz looks like she's played a belter off the tee on 17 until the wind comes into play.

She's well short and Danielle Kang takes full advantage smashing her ball down the same line another 15 yards or so on to the green.

Lizette Salas is also on the dance floor this looks ominous for the European pair.

Caroline Masson's putt lips out. Cue groans all around the 18th.

Hopefully the final group can use those cries to guide them home.

It's that dark a trail of fluorescent pebbles would come in handy.

Lexi Thompson and Marina Alex are both on the putting surface with putts for birdie.

Alex is up first but she's just nudged that left. That was tantalisingly close.

Thompson the US hero on the 18th on Friday is next up. And she has the advantage of being able to use her playing partners marker as a guide....

A little birdie tells me that if all the fourballs matches go to the 18th hole, it will be the first time that has happened since day two in 1992.

'End of the Road' by Boyz to Men was number one in the charts back then!

Whooooaaaa. You can almost here Caroline Masson talking to her ball, begging it to slow-up as she fires straight at the pin with her approach into 18.

Is that going to stop in time....yep. A huge cheer has just told her it is perfect.

Georgia Hall put on her waterproofs coming down 17.

But she's looked pretty comfortable after the change in clobber. And she's probably a tad warmer as well.
