  2. McInnes looks for momentumpublished at 22:01 GMT 11 February 2020

    FT: Hamilton Academical 1-3 Aberdeen

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes is thrilled to end a sticky period of form.

"It's was an important three points for us," he tells BBC Sportsound.

"The effort of the team has never been in question but we were looking for a bit more quality.

"We have found it difficult against teams that have sat in. Tonight, we had a bit more space to work in and the players were clinical. Hopefully, we can build some momentum now.

"I know how important Sam is for me and it will turn his way again soon. Curtis Main gets his reward for his professionalism and single-mindedness. He worked so hard for the team and he deserved his chance."

  3. 'Horrendous' night for Hamiltonpublished at 21:52 GMT 11 February 2020

    FT: Hamilton Academical 1-3 Aberdeen

That's four heavy defeats in a row at home for Hamilton and assistant manager Guillaume Beuzelin is not a happy chap.

He tells BBC Sportsound: "I thought we didn't start the game the way we wanted. We knew they were in a not good series so we knew it was a dangerous team to play against.

"They wanted it more than us, they did the basics better than us.

"It was a better second half but overall it was not good enough.

"We needed a leader and Easton is our captain. It's his shoulder as well so we don't know how long he is out for, it's a massive blow. It's an horrendous night for us."

A deserved victory you'd have to say. One shot on target for Hamilton and they score with it, when Aberdeen's intent was there for everyone to see.

  5. Basement battle next up for Acciespublished at 21:43 GMT 11 February 2020

    Quote Message

Matty Kennedy's work rate, his awareness and ability to work the position - because wing-back is a tough position to play, especially when you're a more natural winger and want to go forward - he's put in a terrific shift tonight.

  8. CLOSE!published at 87 mins

    Hamilton Academical 1-3 Aberdeen

A great chance for Accies to grab a second as Aaron McGowan arrives late in the Aberdeen box but he doesn't have much conviction as he seems to let the cross hit him rather than attacking it and the ball rolls wide of an inviting target.

  9. 'I can't say it's been coming...'published at 21:34 GMT 11 February 2020

    Hamilton Academical 1-3 Aberdeen

    Quote Message

I couldn't say it's been coming but I think Aberdeen have been weak defensively for the first time in this game. He took it well, Ogkmpoe.

    Hamilton Academical 0-3 Aberdeen

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

It's been a good performance for the Aberdeen back three. I've watched them on a number of occasions and never felt they've been that comfortable in this system. But these three look strong, they look powerful.

  15. CLOSE!published at 74 mins

    Hamilton Academical 0-3 Aberdeen

Aberdeen are really pressing for a fourth as Curtis Main rises highest to meet a free kick from the right, only to see his header flash narrowly wide.

  16. Postpublished at 73 mins

    Hamilton Academical 0-3 Aberdeen

Dean Campbell takes over from Dylan McGeouch in the Aberdeen midfield. With the game all but over, it's the kind of night when you might not mind getting in the hot showers early.

  17. CLOSE!published at 72 mins

    Hamilton Academical 0-3 Aberdeen

The heavy rain is back as Niall McGinn collects a pass from Matty Kennedy and has a dig from 20 yards. The shot fizzes just over...

  18. Postpublished at 69 mins

    Hamilton Academical 0-3 Aberdeen

Matty Kennedy has acres of space to race into as he charges in from the left. However, Alex Gogic shows great pace and a cool head to get across and close down the Aberdeen forward deep inside the penalty area.

  19. A lot of empty seatspublished at 21:14 GMT 11 February 2020

    Hamilton Academical 0-3 Aberdeen

We have 1,218 brave souls in attendance at the Fountain of Youth Stadium.

Not a great look for the league, but it really is a filthy night.

It's not the lowest top flight attendance of the season, although it's close.

  20. CLOSE!published at 63 mins

    Hamilton Academical 0-3 Aberdeen

Lewis Ferguson works a quick one-two on the edge of the Accies box and powers a rising shot just over the top.
