The Fulham keeper was in outstanding form tonight. Marek Rodak had an absolute stinker in the home loss against Barnsley but what a way to respond. The Slovakian made brilliant saves to deny Tom Lawrence, Matt Clarke and then Curtis Davies in the closing stages.

The visitors dominated possession but did not threaten as much as Derby.

Fulham wanted three points to keep the pressure on the top two but that point could yet prove vital.

Derby's outside hopes of a play-off place now look every so slim after successive 1-1 draws.

They are eight points off the top six and have played a game more than all the teams around them.

  3. 'We showed our character'published at 21:50 GMT 21 February 2020

    FT: Derby 1-1 Fulham

Fulham keeper Marek Rodak told Sky Sports: "It was a good game for both teams. They had more chances but we had chances to score as well. A draw was fair.

"I was disappointed last weekend (to lose to Barnsley) but we showed our character today.

"I conceded a couple of goals that I should have saved but hopefully I've made a few saves today."

  4. 'More to come'published at 21:46 GMT 21 February 2020

    FT: Derby 1-1 Fulham

Derby goalscorer Wayne Rooney on reaching 500 English league appearances to Sky Sports: "There are still more games to come.

"I feel fine, I'm still enjoying the game. It's 500 appearances but I'll celebrate when I stop playing."

  5. 'I thought I'd try something different'published at 21:44 GMT 21 February 2020

Derby goalscorer Wayne Rooney told Sky Sports: "I thought it was a great game of football to watch, with chances at both ends.

"Their goalkeeper made some great saves and a draw is probably a fair result.

"I'm always nervous before penalties. I've never done that (a Panenka penalty) in my career. I know goalkeepers study penalties so I tried something different and thankfully it went in."

    Let's get some post-match reaction...

  7. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:39 GMT 21 February 2020

    FT: Derby 1-1 Fulham

Marek Rodak makes a slightly unconvincing, but effective clearance and that's the last meaningful action of a game that finally came to life in the final quarter.

But a draw is not a great deal of good to either manager.

Wayne Rooney never stops running does he? He wins the Rams a corner in the final minute.

Wayne Rooney takes the set-piece but it's not a good one.

However, Derby keep it alive and Marek Rodak then pulls off another glorious save to claw the ball back from his line as he dives back. It was a Tom Lawrence cross that caused all the havoc and Curtis Davies who managed to get something on it at the back post.

    Great goalkeeping.

    Derby 1-1 Fulham

Back up the other end now. Fulham are once again retaining possession and switching play effectively.

Ivan Cavaleiro and Aboubakar Kamara have made a huge difference since coming on but they cannot quite find the killer pass and Derby break and win a corner.

  12. GREAT SAVE!published at 85 mins

    Derby 1-1 Fulham

Marek Rodak to the rescue for Fulham. The keeper makes another excellent diving stop to keep out Max Bird's well-struck close-range effort.

That's three brilliant saves from the visiting number one.

  13. Postpublished at 83 mins

    Derby 1-1 Fulham

That's an even better opportunity for Derby...

How many times has Wayne Rooney found the net from there? Ten yards out and a tricky ball to control admittedly, but he smacks it well over on the half-volley.

  14. Postpublished at 82 mins

    Derby 1-1 Fulham

    That's a great chance.

Ivan Cavaleiro has to do better with a first-time shot from the edge of the box but leans back and blasts it just over.

  15. Postpublished at 80 mins

    Derby 1-1 Fulham

Fulham are looking the more likely and Bobby Decordova-Reid drags a shot just wide from the left-hand side of the box. It wasn't a clean strike.

A more than decent chance as we enter the final ten minutes.

  16. Postpublished at 78 mins

    Derby 1-1 Fulham

A double change for Derby now, who need the win just as much as Fulham.

On come Florian Jozefzoon and Jack Marriott for Jason Knight and Martyn Waghorn.

  17. Postpublished at 77 mins

    Derby 1-1 Fulham

It's easily cleared by the visitors, who are soon on the attack and knocking the ball around looking for gaps in a tiring Derby defence.

  18. Postpublished at 76 mins

    Derby 1-1 Fulham

How will Derby respond to that? They let a lead slip against Huddersfield last Saturday.

Martyn Waghorn bursts away on the left but his shot is deflected behind for a corner, to be taken by Wayne Rooney...

  19. Postpublished at 74 mins

    Derby 1-1 Fulham

That's goal number 22 in the league for Aleksandar Mitrovic this season. What a buy he has been.

    Can Fulham find a winner?

    It had to be him.

    Aleksandar Mitrovic levels in style.

The two subs are involved with Ivan Cavaleiro running across goal and helping to find Aboubakar Kamara, whose first-time cross is beautifully guided into the corner of the net by the big striker.
