St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright on BBC Sportsound: "There was nothing between the two sides except we made more mistakes than them and they punished us.

"We have to do better. Every goal seems to be a mistake. We’ve still got an outside chance [of making the top six], but not if we continue making mistakes.

"It was all a bit passive. Players didn’t want to run in behind or make things happen."

Livingston manager Gary Holt on BBC Sportsound: "To go a goal behind was disappointing, especially when we started the game well but we showed strength of character to come back.

"We are resolute, we pride ourselves on our defending and being hard to beat and we have players who can create and score goals, as you saw today.

"Today’s probably not our best game overall in terms of playing football but we scored goals at crucial times and I’m pleased for the lads."

Aberdeen were without Gary Mackay-Steven and Niall McGinn for today's trip to Celtic Park.

But Dons boss Derek McInnes says both have a "good chance" of returning in time for their Scottish Cup quarter-final replay at Ibrox on Tuesday night.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon admits his team looked tired in the goalless stalemate with Aberdeen.

"It's frustrating in terms of our play in the final third. We looked leggy, little bit fatigued. and I understand that," he said on Sportsound.

"Psychologically they’re a little bit fatigued too after everything that’s happened. After the last week there was always going to be a lull and hopefully that’s over now.

"Give credit to Aberdeen, they defended very well, but we didn’t test Joe Lewis anywhere near enough and were far too pedestrian with the ball."

Dundee manager Jim McIntyre told BBC Scotland: "It definitely feels like points dropped. I thought we had a lot of the game. We created a couple of really good opportunities and we've lost a really, really scrappy goal.

"It's just disappointment that we've not managed to take at least a point from the game because I felt that's what we deserved. As long as they continue to try and do the right things then I'm sure the results will turn."

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes was delighted with his back four after getting a clean sheet at Celtic Park.

“By and large the defensive work of the team was excellent in the first half," he said on Sportsound. "I thought second-half, maybe having that extra midfielder, allowed us to get a bit more control but I also thought our attacking players offered us more.

“We had enough opportunities to maybe get the goal we were looking for, but I’d have taken 0-0 before the game.”

Hearts manager Craig Levein is happy with the battling qualities his side showed at Dens Park.

He told BBC Scotland: "It's important that we learn to win in different ways and if we need to scrap and fight and score a scrappy goal to win the game then so be it.

"Hopefully, we can get a bit of confidence from this. We've got a a cup tie on Tuesday evening [against Partick Thistle]. Hopefully we can do well in that."

A devastating first-half performance earns Motherwell a comprehensive Lanarkshire derby win.

David Turnbull's double and a Jake Hastie goal had the hosts in command. The result was never in doubt, even at that stage, and Motherwell spurned further chances as they dominated against the disappointing visitors.

It was Motherwell's fourth home league win in a row - the first time they have achieved that feat since March 2014.

It also boosts Stephen Robinson's chances of leading his side into the top six, with the gap on Hibs now down to two points.

Hamilton still remain three points clear of the relegation play-off spot, thanks to Dundee's defeat by Hearts.
