Hibernian head coach Neil Lennon on BBC Sportsound: "We dominated the game and I'm disappointed we haven't won it but very pleased with the performance today.

"We missed an absolutely sitter, twice. I thought we were always the team most likely to score. They get a huge slice of fortune with the goal, it's a big deflection. We came out strongly second half, got the goal and I thought were very, very comfortable.

"Considering the amount of games that we're having, I'm very, very pleased with the start that we're making.

"I think we're unfortunate not to have won the game today but we'll take a point away from home and move on."

St Mirren manager Alan Stubbs on BBC Sportsound: "I thought the goals that we conceded, we've basically gifted Rangers two goals.

"When you're coming to Ibrox, the one thing you can't afford to do is make mistakes.

"We just started to get a little bit of confidence and a foothold into the game and we'd weathered the early pressure and then we make a mistake, which gives them a real boost. That was the catalyst for obviously Rangers to get the result.

"The sending off changes the game in terms of them on the front foot. We didn't do enough. If we would've maybe just had a little bit more belief in that final third and we'd managed to get a goal, it would've been interesting to see what the response would've been.

"We're not going to be judged on results against Rangers."

St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright on BBC Sportsound: "I'm happy with a point, particularly against a side as good as Hibs.

"I was pleased with the performance. Our two full-backs had to be good on the ball.

"I'm quite content tonight to have played as well as we have against a really good side."

And, on the suspected handball against Hibernian's Efe Ambrose, Wright said: "I thought it was a clear penalty. Quite clearly, it's hit his arm but you get those decisions."

It's a busy start to the season for Scottish clubs with European and League Cup fixtures as well as the start of the league campaign.

Celtic play the second leg of their Champions League third qualifying round tie against AEK Athens on Tuesday, with the score tied at 1-1 at the midway stage.

Then, on Thursday, Hibernian take on hosts Molde and Rangers visit Maribor in the second legs of those Europa League third qualifying round ties. Hibs and Molde are goalless after the first leg while Rangers lead Maribor 3-1.

And next weekend it's the second round of the League Cup.

Still very early days but this is how the Scottish Premiership table looks after two rounds of fixtures. Only Hearts have a 100% record while bottom sides Dundee and Motherwell are still to get off the mark.
