All you need to know about the teams and drivers in 2026.
Alpine - Pierre Gasly (car number 10), Franco Colapinto (43)

Pierre Gasly, 29, collected all 22 of Alpine's constructors' championship points in the 2025 season and he is paired once again with Franco Colapinto for what will be his fourth campaign with the French team.
Colapinto, 22, replaced Australian Jack Doohan at Alpine after six races in 2024 but the Argentine failed to score a point in the 18 grands prix he competed in.
Aston Martin - Fernando Alonso (14), Lance Stroll (18)

With design legend Adrian Newey as team principal for 2026, Aston Martin have stuck with Fernando Alonso and Canadian Lance Stroll for a fourth consecutive season.
Alonso, who will be 45 in July, finished 10th in the drivers' championship after a decent points-scoring run during the European leg of the season, while 27-year-old Stroll finished four places lower in 14th.
The Spaniard also dominated his team-mate in qualifying in 2025, outqualifying Stroll at all 24 race weekends.
Audi - Gabriel Bortoleto (5), Nico Hulkenberg (27)

With Sauber becoming Audi in 2026, Gabriel Bortoleto and Nico Hulkenberg have been chosen as the driver line-up for the German team's debut.
Brazilian Bortoleto, 21, had a solid rookie campaign in 2025 and finished a career-best sixth at the Hungarian Grand Prix in August.
Meanwhile, Hulkenberg, 38, ended a 15-year wait for a podium when he finished third at the British Grand Prix after 239 race starts.
Cadillac - Sergio Perez (11), Valtteri Bottas (77)

Cadillac are set to become the 11th team on the grid and experienced drivers Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez return to the grid to lead their debut line-up.
Former Mercedes man Bottas, 36, has 10 grands prix wins, 20 pole positions and 67 podiums during his F1 career, which started at Williams in 2013.
Mexican Perez, 35, who lost his seat at Red Bull at the end of the 2024 season, has been around since 2011 when he joined Sauber and brings six victories, three poles and 39 podiums to the American team.
Ferrari - Charles Leclerc (16), Lewis Hamilton (44)

Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton are entering their second season as team-mates at Ferrari after a disappointing first campaign together in 2025.
Seven-time world champion Hamilton, 40, secured a sprint pole position and win at the second race in China but he failed to make the main podium at any of the 24 grands prix - and also suffered a few Q1 eliminations in qualifying.
Monegasque Leclerc finished one place higher than Hamilton in the standings in fifth place and it was the 28-year-old who secured all seven of the Scuderia's podiums, plus their only main pole of the campaign in Hungary.
Haas - Oliver Bearman (87), Esteban Ocon (31)

Britain's Oliver Bearman and Frenchman Esteban Ocon have been paired together for a second season at the American-based Haas team.
Bearman, 20, produced some impressive drives in his rookie year, including finishing sixth in Zandvoort after starting from the pit lane and then a career-high fourth place in Mexico City.
Ocon, 29, was just edged by his team-mate over the course of the season, ending his maiden campaign with Haas in 15th place in the championship - three points and two places behind Bearman.
McLaren - Oscar Piastri (81), Lando Norris (1)

The two main title protagonists of last season go again for constructors' champions McLaren in the new era of regulations in 2026.
Lando Norris secured his maiden world championship at the finale in Abu Dhabi and now the 26-year-old Briton is aiming to become the first McLaren driver since Mika Hakkinen in 1998 and 1999 to win back-to-back drivers' titles.
Oscar Piastri led the championship for much of the campaign, claiming seven victories and 16 podiums in total. But the Australian, 24, struggled in the second half of the year and finished third in the standings.
Mercedes - George Russell (63), Andrea Kimi Antonelli (12)

Briton George Russell and Italian Kimi Antonelli are back together for another season with Mercedes.
Russell, 27, heads into his fifth year with the Silver Arrows off the back of a strong campaign in 2025, winning races in Canada and Singapore and taking fourth in the drivers' championship.
It was a mixed rookie season for 19-year-old Antonelli but he finished the year with podiums in Brazil and Las Vegas - following his maiden podium in Canada in June - to place seventh in the standings.
Red Bull - Max Verstappen (3), Isack Hadjar (6)

Max Verstappen gets a new team-mate to go along with his brand new number for the 2026 season - Frenchman Isack Hadjar.
It was a difficult 2025 for Red Bull but Dutchman Verstappen, 28, still managed to keep himself in contention for a fifth straight title, eventually losing the crown to Norris in Abu Dhabi. He did, however, secure the most victories overall with eight.
Hadjar, 21, celebrated his first F1 podium at the Dutch Grand Prix in August and his rookie performances caught the eye enough to gain him promotion from Racing Bulls to the senior team.
Racing Bulls - Liam Lawson (30), Arvid Lindblad (41)

Arvid Lindblad is the only rookie on the grid this season and the Briton will be teaming up with New Zealander Liam Lawson at Racing Bulls.
Lawson, 23, was dropped by Red Bull after only two races last season but he retains his seat in the junior team after finishing 14th in the championship.
Lindblad, 18, who has a Swedish father and a mother of Indian descent, won two races in Formula 2 in 2025 and has been marked out as a potential future star by Red Bull since he was 12 years old.
Williams - Alex Albon (23), Carlos Sainz (55)

Williams finished fifth in the constructors' championship last season and now Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz begin a second term together as team-mates.
This will be 29-year-old Albon's sixth campaign with Williams and it was his early run of points that put Williams on the road to their top-five finish. The Thai-Brit driver was eighth in the standings, nine points ahead of Sainz in ninth.
However, it was the 31-year-old Spaniard, who joined from Ferrari following Hamilton's arrival at the Italian team, who grabbed two podiums last season, sealing third spot at both the Azerbaijan and Qatar Grands Prix.
