I just don't think he gets over it enough. If he meets that square with his forehead, surely he can make that ball go down rather than over the bar.

It's a good start from Rangers. Positive start. They certainly look up for it. It's been a really bright start.

Aberdeen will be glad to get the first few minutes out the way.

Moments after Mike Moore gets away a shot that is deflected into goalkeeper Dimitar Mitov's grasp, the Rangers winger has another run down the left.

  10. Robinson makes 'positive changes' at Ibroxpublished at 17:45 GMT

    Rangers v Aberdeen (17:45)

Aberdeen manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Sportsound: "A tough challenge at Ibrox all the time and we have to stand up to that.

"We were decent defensively last week. We looked a lot more organised but we'll need to be even better than that again at Ibrox and we have to play. We have to move the ball a lot quicker.

"We have to get some sort of ownership of the game, which if you get a result at Ibrox you have to do.

"We have to stand up and be counted. People have to stand up and show the ability and investment into this squad that has been put in. There's talent there and hopefully we're giving it the right direction as a team.

"When things aren't going well, managers make changes. You have to try and find a solution. I needed more legs in midfield. You need an outlet, which I believe Emma Gyamfi gives us on the left-hand side as well. He's more like a winger type.

"They're positive changes. We believe that we can handle the ball with those players and also cause them real problems at the top end.

"Rangers have been very good this season. They're a big strong side, they go a lot more direct and they test you all the time."

I saw St Mirren win here under Stephen Robinson and the game plan will be exactly the same. They really sat in and soaked up the pressure.

It won't be easy for Rangers. The first goal is crucial.

  12. Rohl urges Rangers to 'increase to highest level'published at 17:42 GMT

    Rangers v Aberdeen (17:45)

Rangers head coach Danny Rohl tells BBC Sportsound: "We have to focus on our own. Every three points are important. We have to take the three points and then we move forward.

"Thelo Aasgaard trained really well the last couple of weeks. It was great also last week when he came on. He gives us a different profile and we need this today, also between the lines we have good decision making, which is what we want from him.

"It's always about being on the front foot and we play for three points and we don't care about other results at the moment.

"Aberdeen have a new manager with new ideas. They will be well organised. It's a team, if they're organised, it's always, at first, tough to break them down, this is a big job.

"If we increase and we play at our highest level then we have a big opportunity to win this game."

    Rangers v Aberdeen (17:45)

    Willie Miller
Former Aberdeen captain on BBC Sportsound

Aberdeen fans will be very concerned. It looks like they are involved in a battle to avoid that 11th spot.

There's a lot of work to be done. Aberdeen are nowhere near good enough considering the investment at the club.

A point would be a very good outcome from this game. Three would be sensational.

  14. Aberdeen make four changespublished at 17:35 GMT

    Rangers v Aberdeen (17:45)

For his second match in charge of Aberdeen and his first away from home, Stephen Robinson makes four changes.

Afeez Aremu, Ante Palaversa, Emmanuel Gyamfi and Kenan Bilalovic all come into the side that started the 1-1 draw at home to Falkirk.

Mitchel Frame, Graeme Shinnie, Stuart Armstrong and Marko Lazetic drop to the bench.

Loan midfielder Lyall Cameron is not in the squad as he cannot play against his parent club.

Midfielder Thelo Aasgaard's inclusion is the only change to Rangers' starting line-up following last week's 1-0 win at St Mirren.

Winger Djeidi Gassama drops to the bench.

There's no Andreas Skov Olsen in the squad following illness but midfielder Mohamed Diomande could make his return from the bench.

  16. St Mirren 'needed' victory - McLeishpublished at 17:32 GMT

    FT: Falkirk 1-2 St Mirren

St Mirren interim manager Craig McLeish tells BBC Scotland: "Massive for us, delighted for the boys and the group. We needed this today - a hard fought win against a Falkirk side who're having a incredible season, and I hope they get over the line.

"We needed something to spark a bit of confidence and momentum. We were behind in the game, and that's my responsibility. I asked them to take more risks and we make a mistake.

"But how we respond to that is fantastic. I know it's two goals from set plays - we'd like to create more in the final third and I'd like us to try and play more when we're under pressure.

"But where we're at in the season, it's about getting points on the board."

  17. Pressley frustrated by end productpublished at 17:30 GMT

    FT: Hearts 1-0 Dundee

Dundee manager Steven Pressley tells BBC Scotland: "It was a very tight game. There weren't a lot of great opportunities. It was fiercely contested, with both teams very aggressive in their play.

"I'm disappointed because we had a number of moments where we were in good positions, on the counter attack especially, and didn't quite execute that final pass.

"Teams are trying to stop us building and playing and we need to improve on that. We need to find better solutions and work hard.

"The most important thing for ourselves is retaining our Premiership status.

"We have to get to a minimum of 38 points. We've still not achieved that as yet."

  18. 'Very pleasing three points' for McCannpublished at 17:27 GMT

    FT: Kilmarnock 2-0 Livingston

Kilmarnock manager Neil McCann tells BBC Scotland: "It's fantastic. It's another clean sheet. We did brilliantly.

"We scored two fantastic goals. It's a very pleasing three points.

"They're playing with a bit of belief. We defended so well as a group.

"We got our second goal, I didn't think we ever looked in trouble after that.

"I'm so happy for the whole team with getting the result. I'm happy for Findlay Curtis. Scotland call-up, getting the second goal today.

"A lot of people will say we're under pressure but we look like we're handling it now but there's a long way to go."

The St Mirren fans were delirious when the full-time whistle sounded after watching their side deliver a huge, huge win.

Given the run they have been on, Saints showed great character to turn the game around after falling behind early on.

And that kind of character will be needed over the coming weeks with the battle to avoid the relegation play-off spot looking like it could go right down to the wire.

Not much movement in the second tier, though Arbroath have got a bit closer to the top two and Dunfermline have a bigger cushion just inside the play-off places.

At the bottom, Ross County have moved above Airdrieonians, despite not holding on to a 2-0 lead against Dunfermline, but there's only a point in it.
