Wolves

Wolves manager Gary O'Neil speaking to BBC MOTD: "Disappointed that we fought back to get ourselves in front and didn't manage to see it out. Tough atmosphere at home after we go 1-0 down and haven't won at home. We managed to spin it from 1-0 down to 2-1 up and I thought we would be OK from there and just have to defend. We had to settle for a draw but the lads gave everything."

On how he felt about fan reaction to his triple substitution: "It doesn't make me feel anything. It's the job. I made the triple substitution. It was a physical game, not really a footballing game, Palace were direct and going long. I thought the three substitutions were excellent. Pleased that the lads managed to keep fighting. Of course we have to win football matches."

On Jean Philippe-Mateta's disallowed goal: "I haven't watched it back. I saw an image outside that looked like Jose Sa had two hands on it and I doubt he wouldn't have dropped it unless something happened to him. It didn't look like there was too much wrong with it.

"We have to fight and to scrap and we have accepted that in the dressing room. Southampton will be tough, they will come here [next weekend] and frustrate the crowd and we will have to respond."

Wolves

Wolves manager Gary O'Neil to Sky Sports: "I don't think we ever got to a point where we were in full control of the game. The draw is probably the fair result. We managed to turn it in our favour at 0-0. We gave away a soft goal from a nothing cross. 1-0 down and we haven't won at home this season, so the atmosphere turns against us."

On the atmosphere in crowd: "It's not tough, it's the job. I know the players very well. Tommy Doyle is excellent. Crystal Palace are physical and we needed physicality and Mario Lemina brings that in abundance. Today needed Mario. I love Tommy. When you're in a scrap like we are and 1-0 down at home, the impact that the three subs had gave you the chance to go on the win.

On VAR: "I've not watched it in slow motion. It looked like Jose had control of the ball and that he was impacted. It looked like a decent decision to me.

On positives to take: "The fact the lads are fighting for everything is the positive. they give everything. There were some decisions that weren't correct and we need to tidy up. We were signing young players from different leagues and trying to help them be ready for the Premier League. It's going to be a tough season and we have to fight and scrap."

On Southampton next week: "They all are. Today was big and next Saturday will be. We need to come out on top."

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "To be honest I watched the [disallowed] goal now after the game and it was a 50-50 decision. For me what makes it not understandable is how he whistled throughout the game, he let decisions go and this was a similar situation we saw 30 times before in the game where he did not give a foul.

"I thought the referee did well for the 98 or so minutes before this action because he was fair for both sides. Everybody knows not every contact is a foul but we had a few moments before where he did not give a foul but in this situation [with the late goal] he decided a different way."

"I am proud of the performance today, three games in six days. The players did well to come back again from being behind. The only thing we can blame ourselves for is that we did not decide the game when we had chances to."

On missing out on a perfect week: "How we entered the week without a league win and having to manage the situation with a tight squad now due to injuries, playing two big teams in Tottenham and Villa and then facing Wolves here who are fighting for their first win.

"We showed that we are competitive and came here to win. This is how we want to play and we showed it from the first minute."

On coping without key players: "Yes I am pleased. We know we have to find solutions and we did that today, Eddie Nketiah was good and then Ismaila Sarr also had some big chances, but they were working for the team. It is time for others to step up and we did that as a team and we also got two goals from set plays."

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner speaking to BBC MOTD: "I'm really proud of the performance and the only thing we can blame on ourselves is we didn't make the most of two or three opportunities and decide the game when we didn't. We were closer to win it than the Wolves at the end."

On Ismaila Sarr's missed chances: "You cannot rely on 1-0. We had two great chances. We can improve when we have the momentum on our side. Ismaila Sarr wanted to score. It was unlucky. Overall it's okay but I'm not happy with two decisions from the referee. At the end [the disallowed goal], it wouldn't have been a foul [on Jose Sa]. It was a 50/50 decision and the referee should intervene when [Craig] Dawson makes a clear handball. Overall the 2-2 is OK.

"We want to show our identity, not to have 2-2 but to go for the win and that is our character. Every player who played today and was on the bench would have been ready for this game. We created many chances and scored two goals. We need to recover for the next few days and then they will be ready for the Fulham game. We will go for three points and Selhurst and then we will use the international break to have some players coming back."

Wolves are winless in 13 Premier League games (drawn three, lost 10), now their second longest such run in the competition behind only a run of 17 between February 2012 and August 2018.

Crystal Palace

More from Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi speaking to Sky Sports: "We have a lot of leaders in the team. The attitude and application has been spot on. Going into training every day with a winning mentality. Credit to the lads and the staff. We just want to carry this on."

Does the squad possess the quality to deal with the injuries you have? "I don't think we have a choice to be honest. Even the young lads on the bench today, the quality they possess. We have to get on with it and keep trying to improve as a team. I am really proud of the character and mentality.

"I am just grateful to be paying with such great players. Joachim [Andersen] was great and was a brilliant partnership but hopefully we will keep improving."

Was the summer difficult, amid the links between yourself and a move to Newcastle? "I would say yeah and no. When you are reading things about yourself, it can be distracting. I have a good support system around me and it is important that humility. Palace have given me all the things in the world and I just want to repay them and give my best."

Wolves

Wolves boss Gary O'Neil speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "Disappointed that we didn't come out on top. It was sort of slow and then they scored at a moment where we were the better side. It was a soft goal from a defensive error and we did not really look like conceding in that moment.

"When you then go 1-0 down in a Premier League game you need a response and we definitely got that. The three substitutes made a big impact. The game looked like it could drift away from us at that moment but it didn't thanks to the impact of those players. I'm disappointed because I thought we could have gone on and won it."

On the triple change: "I thought it helped us. We have a squad and we need to use it. Crystal Palace are a physical side and play long a lot, so there wasn't much time on the ball. We thought the physicality of Mario [Lemina] in that moment was what we needed. He changed how the game flowed."

On the late Palace goal ruled out: "I haven't really watched it back in any great detail. I saw an image of Sa with two hands on the ball, and then the Crystal Palace boy has influenced him enough to make him drop it. I would have to watch it back.

"There were a few little decisions in the game but nothing really. It looked to me that Jose had control of the ball with two hands on it."

On remaining winless: "Zero concern for my position. I enjoyed tonight and helping the lads, they are giving absolutely everything. it is going to be a tough season for us, it was the same last year. We are going to have to fight and scrap. Everyone is giving everything so we have to keep fighting."

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner to Sky Sports: "I'm really proud of the team and the players for how they performed today. It was the third game in six days. We should have taken the lead before half-time. We had two great chances after making it 1-0. You could see the players were tired, the squad is very tight at the moment. I'm really proud of how we performed today.

"After the set play, we knew Wolves would struggle with them so we scored two from them. If we have so many chances in an away game, five or six clear ones, then you should decide it. You could see the players were very tired after a very intense week."

On disallowed goal: "I could see it, yes. It's a 50/50 decision. We can see how the referee whistled in the game. He continued many duels, he didn't call for a foul. I think if the referee allowed it then the VAR wouldn't have taken it back. The one is the hand from Dawson. This is a decision where VAR has to intervene because it's a clear red card. We can't influence it but we can decide the chances we have in the moment."

On injuries in squad: "Everyone knows what to do and how we want to play. it's a great group and we have to use the international break for two or three players coming back. Eze and Wharton can create chances but the players today created a lot of chances."

On last season's form: "It makes no sense to talk about that. We are so far away from it. We've got players settling into how we play. I think Trevoh Chalobah played more this week than he did in the last eight months. We need the injured players back but they will come back."

Newcastle United

Newcastle defender Lewis Hall to BBC MOTD: "It was a really important game for us. We've had a slow start to the season in terms of our performances even though we picked up a few results.

"The last couple of weeks the performances have been a lot better but we didn't get the results. It was a big result for us on Wednesday and we wanted to build on that. We created a fantastic atmosphere today.

"We know how much of an impact the fans can make. At home we know we can get a result against anybody."

On his battle with Bukayo Saka: "He's an unbelievable player, I knew I had to do whatever I could to stop him getting a yard or crosses into the box.

"I had some help from Joelinton and Joe Willock who put in a lot of hard yards that probably go unnoticed.

"As a three we did really well. It's what we're known for - high-pressing, getting into people's faces. It was a really good performance from us."

On whether Newcastle can put a run together: "Two wins a row, albeit one in the cup. Another big game on Sunday. If we can go there and get the win as well hopefully we can go into the international break on a high."

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi speaking to Sky Sports: "I am really proud of everyone and we put in a good shift today.

"I think it is always difficult at the start [of the season]. We have had a few new boys coming into the side and not really had a pre-season with the team. We can't use that as an excuse and we have to keep trying to pick up points.

"Wolves are a really good side. They are really strong and keep going and the mentality of our team is never-say-die attitude. It is important that we carry that on for the rest of the season."

On his second goal in five games, after having as many in his previous 91: "Two in 91 is ridiculous. I am grateful. We do a lot of set-piece work in training and important you try and pop up with goals. I am glad I was able to help the team."

Crystal Palace defender Trevoh Chalobah: "It was a hard week for us, three games in a week but the boys dug in. We should have done a bit better today but it's better than a loss. We had plenty of chances to kill the game. Obviously my mistake, which I will learn from, and we go again next week."

On his goal: "I saw that the gap was there and I saw that the keeper was on the side so I just tried to keep it low.

"It's been a tough start for us but I thought we have played well in most of the games we have played this season just without the end product and the goals."
