County will be hoping St Johnstone can beat Airdrieonians tomorrow and keep it tight at the bottom.

County midfielder Ross Docherty is still hopeful the Dingwall side can dig themselves out of their hole at the bottom of the table.

"That sums up our season really," he tells BBC Scotland. "I think there was plenty of effort and the performance over all was much better than last week, which was miles off it.

"But we lose a sloppy goal and that sums up how it's been all season.

"And in the forward areas we're not creating enough chances.

"I am hoping we give that fight for the next few games, because it's not over yet."

Queen's Park head coach Sean Crighton is delighted with the win.

"It's massive for us," he tells BBC Scotland. "I couldn't be prouder of the team.

"It wasn't the prettiest of games, especially the second half.

"I thought we were good in the first half, but it is job done and we've done exactly what we wanted to do."

For the hosts, it is a different story.

Not long ago, they were at the foot of the table themselves.

However, one defeat in six and the Spiders have climbed up to fifth in the table.

Only seven points behind Dunfermline Athletic, but having played two more games, a promotion play-off is probably beyond them.

However, nine points clear of Airdrieonians, they seem safe now from the threat of a relegation play-off.

It is looking a bit grim for County.

Successive relegations seem a certainty now.
