Bradley Barcola is right footed, although he prefers to play on the left wing, but can also play on the right or through the middle.
However, with PSG also having Georgia's Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and France's Desire Doue as wide options, Barcola does not play 90 minutes every match so a move to Anfield would give him more playing time.
With Mohamed Salah leaving on a free transfer at the end of last season having scored 257 goals in a hugely successful nine-year spell with the Reds, Liverpool clearly need to strengthen their attack.
France forward Hugo Ekitike ruptured his Achilles tendon in April and is not expected to play again in 2026, while Cody Gakpo, another who can play on the left and in the middle, has been linked with a move to Tottenham, although Liverpool say they do not want to sell.
The Reds' other current attacking options include 17-year-old Rio Ngumoha, Italy forward Federico Chiesa and new signing Victor Munoz.
Assuming Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola sticks with three forwards playing behind a central striker, where do you think Bradley Barcola would fit best, if Liverpool complete his signing from Paris St-Germain?
Iraola started with Rio Ngumoha on the right, Cody Gakpo on the left and Florian Wirtz in the number 10 role behind Alexander Isak up front in the Reds' recent win over Como.
And remember, he has Hugo Ekitike to return from injury...

Here is hoping Liverpool say no to PSG and their pricing of Bradley Barcola. Man City say no to Chelsea and their pricing of Enzo Fernandez. And Everton say no to Chelsea and their pricing of Liam Delap. Silly money that clubs could stop if they all stopped being so desperate.

Enrique was questioned about the futures of Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye, both linked with moves to Liverpool this summer, after they were omitted from PSG's 20-man squad for the match.
However, the Spaniard declined to discuss speculation surrounding the pair, saying: "I'll talk about the transfer window when it's closed. Not before and not after.
"Since it's almost over, I'll talk about everything."

I honestly don't think we need Bradley Barcola this season. I think Dayot Upamecano at Bayern would make much more sense as a target to sew up the aging centre-back issue, but maybe Iraola knows something I don't.

Godts appears set to either provide Bradley Barcola with strong competition for a starting place or be a like-for-like replacement in Luis Enrique's squad should the France forward depart for Liverpool.

Harsh to judge Yoro just yet. He's had injuries and when fit he's not been a consistent starter. He's still only 20 and it's very rare that a centre-back that young looks the finished article or is even starting for a Premier League side. So far so good though.

Liverpool target Bradley Barcola was left out of Paris St-Germain's squad as they were narrowly beaten by Lens in the French Super Cup.
Barcola has been linked with a move to Anfield this summer, with Liverpool reportedly prepared to pay the Champions League winners somewhere in the region of £100m for the 23-year-old.
The France forward, who has also been interesting Arsenal, was an unused substitute in his side's Super Cup win over Aston Villa on Wednesday.

If they are to sign Bradley Barcola from PSG, it seems they might have to...

Re: Jeuel (12:03), I am also a Chelsea fan and if Ayyoub Bouaddi, with no experience in a top three league, is worth £85m, then Pedro Neto probably is worth nearer £100m. Sure, Bouaddi is young with potential but Neto is the finished article.

Image source, Getty ImagesAyyoub Bouaddi would become the most expensive teenager in Premier League history, should Manchester City agree to meet Lille's reported 100m euro (£85.6m) valuation of the 18-year-old Morocco midfielder.
Manchester United paid an initial fee of £52.18m forFrance defender Leny Yoro, 18, also from Lille, in July 2024 in a deal that also included £6.73m in potential add-ons.
United were also involved in another bumper deal for a teenager, agreeing a deal that could rise up to £58m to sign France striker Anthony Martial, 19, from Monaco in September, 2015.
While Chelsea signed Belgium midfielder Romeo Lavia, 19, from Southampton for an initial £53m in September 2023 in a deal that was worth up to £58m.
However, those deals are dwarfed by the top five fees paid for teenagers in world football:
As a United fan, I believe Yoro is our future captain. I think he could be that good. Under the right manager and system, Martial could have made it in the Premier League. He was talented. Lavia, I haven’t seen enough of.
Alec, Wales
If he joins Manchester City, Ayyoub Bouaddi could become one of the most expensive teenagers in football history.
He would also be the latest big-money teenager to arrive in the Premier League, following in the footsteps of players such as Anthony Martial, Romeo Lavia and Leny Yoro.
We'll have the full list shortly. But in the meantime, can any of those three players be deemed a success?

Ayyoub Bouaddi is better at Lille. He gets regular first team minutes and is still young. He should wait a couple of years, which is hard when a big club comes calling, but it might be better for him in the future.

I'm a Chelsea fan and if we get anywhere near £100m for Neto we will undoubtedly be the greatest sellers the sport has seen. Realistically, he's a £60m player.

Image source, Getty ImagesChelsea value Pedro Neto at nearly £100m amid reported interest from Saudi club Al-Hilal.
It's a reflection of the high fees across the transfer market, including the £117m Chelsea paid to Aston Villa for Morgan Rogers and the £145m asking price from Paris St-Germain for winger Bradley Barcola.
The Portugal international, 26, started against Real Sociedad on Saturday when others linked with moves away were completely left out.
While we're on the topic of big-money deals, it seems there could be a few more in the Premier League, both arrivals and departures, before the transfer window closes on 1 September...
Man City have spent big in recent seasons and the signing of midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi would immediately see him become one of the most expensive purchases in their history.

Bouaddi shouldn't be going to Manchester City. He won't play regularly there and could easily see his development stall. He would be better off spending a couple of years at a club where he can play every week, and then, if he still proves to be a special talent, that would be the time to make a huge move.
