    HT: St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

    Steven Thompson
Former Rangers & St Mirren striker on BBC Sportsound

The wind is swirling about, it's hard to say which direction it's going in. That, and the rain, and a bobbly pitch, is not conducive to attractive football.

St Mirren largely defended quite well, the shape and energy were there but they can't get up the pitch and Dan Nlundulu has been up there on his own, not able to bring others into play.

    HT: St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

    Andy Halliday
Former Rangers midfielder on BBC Sportsound

Rangers have dominated in terms of territory and control, without creating a whole host of chances.

St Mirren have looked a little bit dangerous down the right with Killian Phillips making runs, but defensively Rangers have looked really solid and secure.

They'll want more from their front players in the second half to try and extend the lead and make it difficult for St Mirren to come back into the game.

It was a 45 minutes of football that lacked real quality.

  3. Tribute to Gordon Wallacepublished at 12:57 GMT

    Dundee v Dundee United (14:00)

    Brian McLauchlin
BBC Sport Scotland at Dens Park

There will be a minutes applause here at Dens Park for Gordon Wallace, who has sadly passed away.

Having played and managed for both Dundee clubs during an illoustrious career, it’s fitting the pair go head-to-head this afternoon.

The motivation for the home players is they will overtake their city rivals in the table with a victory.

It’s cold, wet and windy at Dens Park, but hopefully there will be enough excitement on the pitch to keep everyone happy.

  7. What happened to Spring?published at 12:46 GMT

    St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

    Kheredine Idessane
BBC Sport Scotland at the SMISA

    It's wild in Paisley.

Torrential rain being whipped at us in the back of the main stand by a strong, swirling wind.

The players have my utmost sympathy. Playing in that is not at all easy.

    It's supposed to be Spring?

  8. Frustrated Rohlpublished at 12:46 GMT

    St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

    Andy Halliday
Former Rangers midfielder on BBC Sportsound

We got a glimpse a moment ago of what Danny Rohl thinks of his strikers' performance.

The ball goes into Youssef Chermiti and he gives the ball away and Rohl's reaction was one of fury. Rangers' attacking players have to do a lot more.

    St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

Mikey Moore is through on goal.

The winger has to slot it home, but Alex Gogic, blood pouring from his head again, slides in to knock it behind.

Rangers don't even get the corner because the flag is up. Might have been tight if it went to a VAR review.

A rare sight at goal for the hosts, but striker Dan Nlundulu can only head straight at goalkeeper Jack Butland.

  12. Chermiti must score!published at 12:42 GMT

    St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

    Andy Halliday
Former Rangers midfielder on BBC Sportsound

It's a cluster of bodies, so it's difficult to tell who gets the final touch, but if it is a Rangers player, he has to score.

It's a great delivery from Tuur Rommens and they have to divert it on target.

  13. Postpublished at 40mins

    St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

    Youssef Chermiti has to score.

Scorer of the opener Tuur Rommens receives the ball from a corner and finds the striker with a neat cross, but the former Everton man sidefoots wide from only four yards out.

  14. Postpublished at 36mins

    St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

St Mirren win a free-kick on the touchline about 20 yards out.

But centre-half Alex Gogic is only able to direct his header well wide.

  15. Rommens to rescuepublished at 12:36 GMT

    St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

That's Tuur Rommens' first goal since the Belgian left-back joined Rangers from Westerlo in January.

Indeed, it is only the 22-year-old third senior goal and his first since 2024.

  16. 'Too easy' for Rangerspublished at 12:34 GMT

    St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

    Steven Thompson
Former Rangers & St Mirren striker on BBC Sportsound

The ball in is sensational, into a really dangerous area, but St Mirren have to have someone back there covering.

It looked far too easy for Rommens to ghost in, it was the simplest of finishes for him.

  17. Rommens gets rewardpublished at 12:33 GMT

    St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

    Steven Thompson
Former Rangers & St Mirren striker on BBC Sportsound

Rangers take the direct approach. It's an unbelievable delivery on Raskin's weaker left foot, clipping it in behind the back three.

It's the first real opportunity that Rangers have created and it's the ever-impressive left-back that gets the opener.

    St Mirren 0-0 Rangers

A bit of hesitancy in the St Mirren penalty box and Ryan Naderi prods the ball between goalkeeper Shamal George's legs.

However, there is not enough power from the Rangers striker to take it over the goalline and the ball is cleared from in front of goal.
