Alexander Isak scored one goal for Sweden at the 2026 World Cup
Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyokeres scored as Graham Potter's Sweden started their Nations League campaign with a 2-1 win over Romania.
Liverpool's £125m striker Isak opened the scoring in the 20th minute before Arsenal's Gyokeres doubled Sweden's lead just before half-time.
Isak, who has kicked the season off with four goals in five Premier League games, was played in behind by Brighton's Yasin Ayari before finishing expertly beyond Romania goalkeeper Ionut Radu.
Romania's Dennis Man pegged Sweden back nine minutes after Isak's opener, before Gyokeres struck to reinstate the hosts' lead.
Gyokeres has only appeared twice from the bench in Arsenal's opening five Premier League games but he was alert to Radu's poor goalkeeping to take a touch and finish from close range.
The win leaves Sweden at the top of League B Group 4 with a home game against Poland to come on Monday night.
